PCB Confirms Officials for Pakistan vs Australia Three-Match T20I Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board has released the complete list of Pakistan vs Australia match officials for the three-match T20 International series between Pakistan and Australia. All matches will be hosted at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from 29 January to 1 February. Each game is set to begin at 4:00 pm PKT, with the toss scheduled for 3:30 pm PKT.

Ali Naqvi Appointed as Match Referee for Entire Series

ICC International Panel Match Referee Ali Naqvi will oversee all three matches of the series. The second T20I will be a significant occasion for him, as it marks his 50th appearance as a T20I match referee. His journey in this role began at the same venue when he officiated his first T20I in April 2023.

On-Field Umpires Named for Opening Matches

First and Second T20I Umpiring Line-up

Ahsan Raza, part of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will stand on the field in the first two T20Is. In the opening match, he will be partnered by Asif Yaqoob from the ICC Emerging Panel of Umpires. For the second T20I, Rashid Riaz, a member of the ICC International Panel of Umpires, will take over on-field duties alongside Raza.

Officials Assigned for the Final T20I

In the third and final T20I, Rashid Riaz will take the field alongside Nasir Hussain from the ICC International Panel of Umpires. The PCB has appointed Zulfiqar Jan of the National Elite Panel of Umpires as the fourth umpire for the match.

Third and Fourth Umpire Roles Across the Series

Nasir Hussain will begin the series as the third umpire and will also serve as the fourth umpire in the second T20I. Meanwhile, Asif Yaqoob and Tariq Rasheed from the PCB National Elite Panel of Umpires will handle third-umpire responsibilities in the second and third matches, respectively.
